STA, 4 September 2018 - Foreign minister nominee Miro Cerar wants Slovenia to have an open, balanced and more uniform foreign policy. In his hearing at the parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee on Tuesday he also pledged to strive for the implementation of the Croatian border arbitration decision. Cerar was backed with nine votes in favour and none against.

STA, 13 July 2018 - The government filed on Friday a lawsuit against Croatia over its non-implementation of the border arbitration decision. The lawsuit filed at the EU's Court of Justice in Luxembourg is based on Article 259 of the Lisbon Treaty.
STA, 11 July 2018 - Slovenian and Croatian police busted a ring of alleged people smugglers from the two countries. The group had helped more than 45 people cross illegally from Croatia to Italy via Slovenia since February. Nine have been charged, six in Croatia and three in Slovenia.
STA, 10 July 2018 - The Slovenian police has again rejected accusations that it has been engaging in legally dubious forced rejection of asylum seekers on the south-eastern border with Croatia. It argued on Tuesday that the returns to Croatia are a result of most foreigners abusing rules by announcing but not filing asylum applications.
STA, 9 July 2018 - The newspaper Dnevnik reports on Monday that Slovenian NGOs had found out that police officers are forcedly rejecting asylum seekers who cross the Slovenian border in the south-eastern region of Bela Krajina and returning them to Croatia. The police and the Ministry of the Interior have meanwhile denied these reports.
STA, 2 July - The Inspectorate for the Environment and Spatial Planning is investigating a Croatian mussel farm in the Bay of Piran, which has expanded in just over a year across the Slovenian-Croatian national border as defined by the border arbitration.
STA, 26 June 2018 - Prime Minister Miro Cerar, who discussed migrations and Sunday's mini EU summit on the matter with heads of parliamentary parties on Tuesday, said after the meeting that Slovenia was safe at the moment and alert and active at the EU level at the same time.
