STA, 9 May 2018 - In the face of a significant increase in the number of illegal migrants crossing the Slovenian-Croatian border recently, the police are considering introducing additional measures to cope with the situation. For now, they say the situation is under control.

STA, 23 April 2018 - The bureaucratic tug-of-war in the Piran Bay, the traditional central theatre of the border dispute between Slovenia and Croatia, has been stepped up by the Croatian side, which has started issuing fines to Slovenian fishermen through its fisheries inspection, TV Slovenija has reported. 

Slovenia claims the issue was settled in the 2013 Mokrice agreement. 

One proposal is based on the claim that NLB is not the legal successor to LB. 

The plant is undergoing maintenance, with around 30m EUR of the work going to external contractors. 

Letter states that the dispute has had “a very negative impact on neighbourly relations, and diplomatic, economic, administrative, police, judicial and cultural cooperation”. 

The case is in relation to 100 kilos of cocaine that was found at Rijeka port.
