STA, 28 June - The Chinese-owned Hisense Luxembourg Home Appliance Holding has acquired a 62.46% stake in household appliance maker Gorenje in a takeover bid between 29 May and 26 June. The firm now owns 95.42% in Gorenje, as it had acquired 32.96% of the company's shares before the bid was published.

STA, 27 June 2018 - The executive committee of the Modern Centre Party (SMC) unanimously decided at Tuesday's session to expel Milan Brglez, a party vice-president, from the SMC. Brglez wrote on Facebook he had been expelled for being an upright politician, for occasionally being critical of the party and for opposing a coalition with the Democrats (SDS).

STA, 27 June - Incom Leone, the Ajdovščina-based ice-cream producer, has won an international award for the best and most innovative ice cream at a competition in Poland's Warsaw. Its winning brand Alive was also honoured by the French food chain Wabel in March and the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) a month ago.
