Slovenian Company Wins “Best and Most Innovative Ice Cream” Award

STA, 27 June - Incom Leone, the Ajdovščina-based ice-cream producer, has won an international award for the best and most innovative ice cream at a competition in Poland's Warsaw. Its winning brand Alive was also honoured by the French food chain Wabel in March and the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GZS) a month ago. 

The Alive healthy ice-creams won the Warsaw's World Dairy Innovation Awards competition in the category ice-creams and frozen yoghurts.

Ice-cream producers from 23 countries competed in 17 categories.

The Alive ice-creams include a vanilla stick with high protein content, a yoghurt stick with fruit chunks and cereal, and a natural fruit stick.

Less than a month ago, the ice-creams earned the company a golden GZS award for innovation in the region of Northern Primorska, while they also won the international Wabel Award for the most innovative ice-cream of the year in March.

Incom Leone exports 90% of its ice-creams, including to Australia, the US and New Zealand.
