STA, 6 July 2018 - After three years of unsuccessful attempts to sell Tobačna City, a former cigarette plant in Ljubljana slated to be transformed into a housing and commercial development, the receiver of Imos-G has managed to find a buyer for the site. Austrian company RM Bauträger is to pay EUR 25m and has already deposited an advance.

The latest round of consultations with President Borut Pahor on Friday did not produce headway as neither the election winner, Janez Janša, nor the runner-up, Marjan Šarec, have built up enough support to secure a majority in the National Assembly.

STA, 5 July 2018 - Drug maker Krka posted a net profit of EUR 101.4m for the first half of the year, up 11%, on the back of sales that reached an all-time high of EUR 680.5m, an increase of 4% on the year before, the company revealed at Thursday's annual general meeting.

STA, 5 July 2018 - The Slovenian central bank has upgraded the outlook for the Slovenian economy for 2019. It predicts that GDP will expand by 4.6% this year, up from its winter forecast of 4.2%, with growth slowing to 3.9% next year and 3.4% in 2020.

STA, 5 July 2018 - Uroš Rotnik, the former boss of the Šoštanj coal-fired power station (TEŠ), will take a pre-trial hearing at the Celje District Court on Friday, with the indictment charging him with tampering with evidence and stealing the documents in which he had reported his assets from the Financial Administration (FURS).
