STA, 11 June 2018 - Companies operating in Slovenia last year paid out a total of EUR 734m in dividends, which is 8.3% more than in 2016. More than half (53%) of the sum was paid out by financial companies, while the general government sector was the biggest receiver, the Statistics Office said on Monday.

STA, 8 June 2018 - Japan's Panasonic has accepted the takeover bid by Hisense Luxembourg Holding of the Chinese group Hisense and is to sell its entire 10.74% stake in Gorenje, the Slovenian household appliances maker announced in a press release on Friday.

STA, 31 May 2018 - Inflation in Slovenia rose by 0.5 points to 2% at the annual level in May, mainly due to higher prices of food, and fuels and energy, the Statistics Office reported on Thursday. This is the first time since February last year that prices rose more than 2% at the yearly level.

STA, 29 May 2018 - The company Hisense Luxembourg Home Appliance of the Chinese group Hisense published a takeover bid on Tuesday for the household appliances maker Gorenje. It is offering 12 euro per share for the 67% of the company it does not already own.
