STA, 8 October 2018 - The Slovenian police apprehended nearly 160 illegal migrants on the country's southern border with Croatia at the weekend, 74 in the area of the Novo Mesto Police Department, south-east, and 85 in the area policed by the Koper Police Department, south-west.
STA, 20 September 2018 - Slovenia cannot agree to the European Commission making a political issue out of the implementation of the Slovenian-Croatian border arbitration award, because this also damages the future of the Commission and of the EU, Slovenia's new Foreign Minister Miro Cerar said in an interview with the STA.

STA, 7 September 2018 - The city council of Ilirska Bistrica, a south-western municipality bordering on Croatia, has expressed opposition to a registration centre for migrants the government is planning to set up at the border crossing of Jelšane.
STA, 4 September 2018 - Interior minister candidate Boštjan Poklukar said his priorities would be control of migration and fighting crime as he presented himself to the relevant parliamentary committee. He said he was aware that the migration pressure remained a global challenge, which was also present in Slovenia given the large number of illegal crossings of the border.

STA, 13 July 2018 - The government filed on Friday a lawsuit against Croatia over its non-implementation of the border arbitration decision. The lawsuit filed at the EU's Court of Justice in Luxembourg is based on Article 259 of the Lisbon Treaty.
STA, 10 July 2018 - The Slovenian police has again rejected accusations that it has been engaging in legally dubious forced rejection of asylum seekers on the south-eastern border with Croatia. It argued on Tuesday that the returns to Croatia are a result of most foreigners abusing rules by announcing but not filing asylum applications.
