STA, 2 July - The government adopted at Monday's correspondence session a decision raising defence spending in 2018 to one percent of Slovenia's gross domestic product (GDP), tasking the Ministry of Finance to implement the decision by 29 September.

STA, 2 July 2018 - The Democrats (SDS), which won the 3 June election, told President Borut Pahor as he launched consultations before nominating a prime minister-designate on Monday, they were willing to work with all political parties. The Marjan Šarec Party (LMŠ), the runner-up, meanwhile asked the president to wait with the nomination until Friday.

STA, 2 July 2018 - Neža Kogovšek Šalamon, the head of the NGO Peace Institute (Mirovni inštitut), warned against the proposed setting up of controlled migrant centres in response to agreements made at the EU Summit on migrations in Brussels. She deems such centres problematic because refugees would be confined to the centre until their asylum request is processed.

STA, 28 June 2018 - The Ljubljana's City Art Gallery will be showing an all-female group exhibition this summer, lasting from June 28 until September 9. The featured artists are at different stages of their careers, but they all "wittily strike back in their 'pussy style', as suggested by the exhibition title" Prrrrrrr, the gallery said.
