The Pole has already secured the Big Crystal Globe.

STA, March 23, 2018 – Poland's Kamil Stoch (455.9 points) won the first event of the ski-flying finals in Planica, Slovenia, on Friday. The season's overall World Cup winner beat Norway's Johann Andre Forfang (452.2) in second and Austria's Stefan Kraft (443) in third place.

Stoch, who already clinched the title of the season's best jumper before the Planica event, managed 245 and 234 metres for victory, his eighth this season and the 30th of his career.

Robert Kranjec (412.7) made a strong comeback as the best Slovenian, finishing 10th after Anže Semenič (416.8), who had the ninth result, was disqualified due to irregularities involving his jumping suit.
