STA, 18 September 2018 - The Slovenian equivalent of the #metoo campaign, launched in February, will continue with public readings of the stories by 130 victims of sexual harassment and abuse who have come forward so far, said the feminist March 8 Institute, which organises the campaign. The readings will be held all over the country. 

STA, 19 September 2018 - The US Senate committee on foreign relations unanimously endorsed Lynda Blanchard as the new US ambassador to Slovenia on Tuesday, but her nomination still needs the approval of the entire Senate. 

STA, 18 September 2018 - Ivan, a feature film by Janez Burger which won several awards at the 2017 Slovenian Film Festival, has been picked as the Slovenian candidate for Oscar nomination for the best foreign language film. 

STA, 18 September - Several land transactions made by the Bank Assets Management Company (BAMC) are under police investigation and subject to an audit, including the sale of land for a plant of the Japanese Sumitomo Rubber Industries, news portal Siol.net reported on Tuesday. BAMC later said it was not a suspect and was cooperating with the investigators. 

STA, 18 September 2018 - An extensive police operation involving searches at several locations in Ljubljana and Maribor, including at several government institutions, was conducted on Tuesday. Media reports suggest the sting is related to suspected abuse of funds at the Education Ministry in 2009-2010.
