The STA has prepared the following list of events for the next seven days:
MONDAY, 12 February
PRISHTINA, Kosovo - President Borut Pahor will start a two-day official visit to Kosovo on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of Kosovo's declaration of independence.
LJUBLJANA - Police officers and Interior Ministry employees will start a strike, which they say will last until their demands for the elimination of pay imbalances in the public sector are met.
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly will start its plenary for February with a Q&A session with Prime Minister Miro Cerar and his cabinet.
LJUBLJANA - The Anton Korošec Institute will host a debate looking into whether Slovenia has a vision of economic development.
LJUBLJANA - The new programming council of the public broadcaster RTV Slovenija will hold its maiden session.
TUESDAY, 13 February
LJUBLJANA - Employees in healthcare and social services will stage a two-hour token strike demanding higher pay.
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly will debate amendments to the act on the special rights of the constitutionally recognised Italian and Hungarian minorities.
KUWAIT CITY, Kuwait - Foreign Minister Karl Erjavec will attend a ministerial of the Global Coalition Against Daesh.
LJUBLJANA - The 6th Italian Business Forum, organised by the Italian Embassy, the Italian Trade Agency, the Italian Cultural Institute and the Jožef Stefan Institute.
LJUBLJANA - Corporeality and Eroticism in Sculpture, an exhibition of works by Croatian sculptor Ivan Meštrović, will open at the Cankarjev dom.
LJUBLJANA - The Slovenian Paralympic Committee and the STA will host a panel on the challenges of young disabled persons.
WEDNESDAY, 14 February
LJUBLJANA - SVIZ, the trade union of teachers and scientists, will stage a one-day strike demanding significant pay rises.
BRUSSELS, Belgium - Defence Minister Andreja Katič will attend a meeting of NATO defence ministers dedicated to burden sharing and modernisation of the alliance.
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly will debate a bill on the promotion of tourism development which gives municipalities greater leeway in setting local tourist tax and introduces a new fee whose proceeds will be used for promotional activities.
LJUBLJANA - The British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce will host a business breakfast on the impact of Brexit on financial markets.
LJUBLJANA - A conference on the challenges of completing the banking union will be organised by the central bank and the European Commission Representation in Slovenia.
SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina - Human Rights Ombudsman Vlasta Nussdorfer will attend a regional conference of national human rights institutions in Western Balkans.
LJUBLJANA - Mexican tenor Ramon Vargas will give a concert at Union Hall. He will be joined by Slovenian soprano Elvira Hasanagić.
THURSDAY, 15 February
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly will debate amendments to the energy act introducing a special rate that power plants will be allowed to charge for the basic balancing of supply and demand of electricity.
LJUBLJANA - Weekly cabinet session.
SOFIA, Bulgaria - The start of a two-day informal meeting of EU foreign ministers. Slovenia's Karl Erjavec will be in attendance.
LJUBLJANA - The Finance Ministry will carry out the first auction of T-bills this year.
LJUBLJANA - The Statistics Office will release December data on average pay.
LJUBLJANA - Business paper Finance will stage Agribusiness, an annual conference dedicated to the agri-food industry.
FRIDAY, 16 February
LJUBLJANA - The National Assembly will conduct the first reading of a bill on the cultural rights of ex-Yugoslav minorities in Slovenia.
MENGEŠ - The Foreign Ministry will host a roundtable on democratic legitimacy and institutional change as part of a series of debates on the future of the EU.
MUNICH, Germany - Defence Minister Andreja Katič will attend the Munich Security Conference.
LJUBLJANA - The Economic and Social Council, the national labour relations forum, will be briefed on the European semester 2018.
SATURDAY, 17 February
PYEONGCHANG, South Korea - President Borut Pahor will meet Slovenian athletes competing in the Winter Olympic Games before starting an official visit to South Korea.
LJUBLJANA - The opposition New Slovenia (NSi) will confirm its election platform at a conference dubbed "Now is the Time!"
SUNDAY, 18 February
