The Slovenian government has agreed to provide 4.8m EUR as an incentive to aid in the construction of a factory to produce rubber items with medical applications in the town of Logatec.

The plant will be owned and operated by the Swiss-based firm Lonstroff, a subsidiary of Japan's Sumitomo Rubber Industries, which is also investing 50m EUR in the project. Work on building the factory should start in May of this year, and it is expected to be completed by April 2019, and to employ at least 180 people.
