Ex-Yu Aviation reports that Eurowings has put Ljubljana on the shortlist as a new destination for its 2018/19 season. The move is part of the budget airlines “You Vote, We Fly” campaign, which runs until March 12 and will let the public choose the latest destination to be added to its current routes. In addition to the Slovenian capital, the other cities in the running are Cork (Ireland), Košice (Slovakia), Friedrichshafen (Germany), Stavanger (Norway) and Aarhus (Denmark).

You can vote to bring the airline to Ljubljana here, and also gain the chance to win one of 50 flight vouchers work 200 EUR. As of writing, however, the city is in last place, with only 3.2% of the vote, while Cork is first with 38%, followed by Kosice (34%) and Friedrichshafen (13.5%).

New connections with Ljubljana that will definitely start in the new future include Adria’s services to Sofia, Bucharest, Hamburg and Geneva, beginning March 25, followed by the same company’s flights to Brač on April 28.
