STA, 15 June 2018 - The award declared by the tribunal arbitrating on the Slovenian-Croatian territorial dispute almost a year ago directly affected the lives of people along the border. Most are happy with the financial assistance offered to those who opt to move to the Slovenian side, but problems at sea remain.

STA, 16 June 2018 - Austria has deferred a major border patrol exercise planned at its border with Slovenia by a day until after Slovenian Statehood Day, observed on 25 June, in wake of protests from Slovenia, according to Austrian media.

STA, 15 June 2018 - A year after the arbitration tribunal announced its decision on the course of the Slovenian-Croatian border, the two countries remain at loggerheads over the border. Croatia claims it had withdrawn from the arbitration process and wants a bilateral agreement, while Slovenia insists that the EU-sponsored arbitration decision must be honoured.

STA, 11 June 2018 - The Slovenian police have expressed disagreement with a major anti-migration military and police exercise planned by Austria on the Slovenian border on 25 June, Slovenian Statehood Day. Interior Minister Vesna Györkös Žnidar spoke of "Austria's internal political issues that should not be spilling over to Slovenia".

STA, 30 May 2018 - Slovenia is not happy with the situation on the Balkan migration route and the large number of migrants crossing the EU's external border. Countries in the region as well as the EU Commission and Frontex will have to do more, Interior Ministry State Secretary Boštjan Šefic told the STA.

STA, 21 May 2018 - Slovenia's Ambassador to Croatia Smiljana Knez indicated in an interview with the Croatian newspaper Večernji List on Monday that Croatia was satisfied with the border arbitration decision but wanted to re-package the solution into a bilateral agreement for political reasons.
