Another victory for the double Olympic champion and overall World Cup leader. 

STA, March 4, 2018 – Austria's Marcel Hirscher won the Alpine Ski World Cup slalom event in Kranjska Gora on Sunday to add to his giant slalom win in the 57th Vitranc Cup on Saturday. Slovenia's Štefan Hadalin was fastest in the second run to finish 13th, his best career result in the World Cup.

The double Olympic champion and overall World Cup leader Hirscher was 1.22 seconds ahead of Henrik Kristoffersen of Norway, while third place went to Ramon Zenhäusern of Switzerland (+1.61), the silver medallist in the slalom in PyeaongChang.

Hadalin was meanwhile the only Slovenian representative in the second run out of the six competitors in the first run, improving on his 28th place in the first to finish 13th, two spots better than his previous career best in the World Cup.

After securing the small crystal globe for the giant slalom on Saturday, Hirscher today secured the small crystal globe in the slalom to be crowned the king of technical disciplines.
