Highest earnings in Central Slovenia.

The Statistical Office of Republic of Slovenia (SURS) has released its latest analysis of earnings for the full year of 2017, with the figures showing higher average earnings in both the public and private sector, as well as in all 12 statistical regions of the country.

The average gross earnings for 2017 were 1,626 EUR a month, up from 2016 by 2.7% in nominal terms and 1.3% in real terms by 1.3%. Slighty higher increases were seen with regard to average net earnings, which were 1,062 EUR, up by 3.1% and 1.7% in nominal and real terms, respectively.

With regard to the regions, Osrednjeslovenska (Central Slovenia) saw the highest average monthly net earnings, at 1,152 EUR, 8.5% more than the national average, while turning to pay by sector the greatest incomes were seen by those working in the electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply industries, at average of 1,541 EUR.
