What follows is a review of headlines in the Slovenian dailies for Friday, 2 February, 2018, as prepared by the STA:

Serbia-Slovenia relations
"Kekec is ours, we're not giving up Tito's cars": Slovenia and Serbia have good relations in all aspects, except for the division of movable cultural heritage belonging to the former Yugoslavia. (front page, page 3)

Change of leadership at NSi
"Janša has coffee ready for Tonin": After taking over as the new leader of New Slovenia (NSi), Matej Tonin announced he will invite all party leaders for a coffee, including Janez Janša. (front page, page 2)

Industrial dispute at port operator
"Charges heaping at Luka Koper, work on hold": The shop steward at port operator Luka Koper has been charged on suspicion of causing public nuisance, which carries up to eight years in prison. (front page, page 10)

Register beneficial owners
"Register of beneficial owners is a register of the absurd": The paper wonders why more than 80,000 companies had to enter data in the new register when the same data are already available at the AJPES agency for public legal records, considering that executives are registered as beneficial owners of forms such as bad bank or Sovereign Holding. Central bank governor
"What drives Governor Jazbec so much abroad": Boštjan Jazbec, the governor of the Slovenian central bank, is bidding to become a member of the Single Resolution Board, the Brussels-based institution whose job is to rescue troubled banks in the euro area. (front page, page 5)
