Lawyers will offer free counselling and mediation from December 18 to December 22, 2017

Lawyers will be offering free legal aid this week. This year for the seventh time lawyers will work pro bono, and not only in their law offices, but also in local communities in Ljubljana, Nova Gorica, Ig, Koper, Ankaran and Izola. They will also provide advice and offer free mediation.

This activity is starting today, December 18, and the consultations will take place in the Maribor, Pomurje and Ptuj regional councils. On Tuesday, December 19, they will happen in Ljubljana and Gorenjska communities. On Wednesday, consultations will be held in Celje and Slovenj Gradec, and on Thursday in Nova Gorica and Koper local communities.

On Friday, consultations will be held in Dolenjska and Krško regional assemblies of the Bar Association.

The legal assistance in these areas of local communities and the assistance of the Mediation Centre will be performed orally, without prior announcement.
The aim of this action is to help those who most need assistance and who because of a lack of money can’t afford legal help.

Within this action lawyers will mainly provide general information on the problem or clarify the legal options that are provided by law and court practices.

You can get free legal help with prior arrangement, but do apply at a lawyer in your area of residence. It is suggested that you do this by phone and prepare your documentation on the case, should you have any.
