A mini city bus spontaneously combusted in the city centre at about 10am this Saturday. Nobody was hurt and the cause of fire has not yet been established.

Passengers later told the media (link) that they noticed smoke coming from the dashboard and that it smelled like burning rubber. One of them alerted the driver of the smoke before getting off the bus at Bavarski dvor. About a hundred metres further down Slovenska Street, the bus caught fire and the driver stopped and let everyone get off. When the firefighters arrived the bus was already engulfed in flames and two explosions could be heard.

Eventually, the fire was put out, the charred bus towed away, the street cleaned and the crowd of fascinated onlookers left for the rest of their day.
