Below is a review of the headlines in Slovenian dailies for Tuesday, 29 May 2018, as prepared by the STA:  

DELO

Pollution
"We are drowning in sea of plastics": The European Commission has proposed banning ten products that are most frequently found among sea waste, including plastic cotton swabs, and plastic cutlery and plates. (front page, 3)

Italy's government formation
"European Italian in the lead for now": Italian President Sergio Mattarella has named economist Carlo Cottarelli interim prime minister until fresh election. (front page, 3)

Archaeological finds
"Story turned upside down": The latest archaeological finds in the Ljubljana city centre have turned the assumptions about what was Gosposvetska Street in the Roman times upside down. While it was assumed that it was a road, it is now clear that it was a cemetery with a chapel and possibly a mausoleum. (front page, 11)
