"Media acquisition of the year receives blow": The Public Administration Institute has issued an opinion rejecting last year's Culture Ministry explanation that the buyer of Pro Plus, the owner of Slovenia's most popular commercial TV stations POP TV and Kanal A, does not need the ministry's approval. General election
"Šarec unfortunately does not know what kind of MPs he will get": The paper runs a teaser for an interview with Pensioners' Party (DeSUS) head Karl Erjavec, who predicts an internal clash in the party of Kamnik Mayor Marjan Šarec over whether to enter a coalition with Janez Janša's Democrats (SDS). "They were jumping for joy in Greece and Planica": After several unsuccessful attempts, Planica was entrusted at the congress of the International Ski Federation in Athens with organising the 2023 Nordic World Ski Championship.

"Planica gets Nordic World Ski Championship 2023": In what was already its fourth attempt at becoming the organiser of a Nordic World Ski Championship, Slovenia's Planica nordic centres was entrusted on Thursday with the 2023 championship, beating Norway's Trondheim in a 9:6 vote. (front page, 5)

Ljubljana infrastructure
"City finally starting construction of 88-km sewage network": The Ljubljana Municipality has finally published a tender for the long awaited construction of a sewage system in 20 of the capital's 39 areas that remain without it. (front page, 17)

Healthcare problems
"From too narrow doors to beds in the hallway": Ljubljana's UKC hospital continues to struggle with a lack of capacities. While the staff are trying hard, they said they would need double the room they have now. (front page, 3)

FINANCE

Takeovers
"How to sell one's company": There is more and more takeover activity on the market, spurred by high profits and cheap money, and the paper offers some advice on how to go about selling one's company. (front page, 2-3)

Property market
"GURS reveals data on rents for offices and bars": The Mapping and Surveying Authority (GURS) has for the first time published data on rents for offices and bars, showing for instance that a square metre of office space cost 9.6 euro per month on average in Slovenia last year. (pages 4-5)

Štarjerska region economy
"People of Štajerska earn less": The paper runs a feature on the economic situation in the NE Štajerska region, which continues to struggle somewhat. The average gross wage was at around EUR 1,400 last year, 150 euros under the country's average. (front page, 6)

Scandals around President Pahor
"Blows for the president": As many as three parliamentary enquiries - on the TEŠ power plant, the shortfall in banks, and money laundering - have pointed the finger at the current president and former prime minister Borut Pahor. (front page, 2, 3)

Dogs
