"Israel was celebrating, while Palestinians were dying": Israeli forces were uncompromisingly killing Palestinian protesters who were remembering Nakba, the displacement that accompanied the Israeli Declaration of Independence in 1948. (front page, page 3)

Formation of Italian government
"Opportunist duo wants more time": The leaders of the Five Star Movement and Lega Nord, Luigi di Maio and Matteo Salvini, separately met yesterday Italian President Sergio Mattarella, asking him to give them more time to form a government. (front page, page 6)

"Perfect storm over Israel and Palestine": The Israeli army yesterday killed more than 50 Palestinians in Gaza, who allegedly came too close to the border and tried to cross it as they were protesting upon the 70th anniversary of the Israeli Declaration of Independence. (front page, page 6)

Kemis fire anniversary
"Demands from Vrnika people remain ungranted": One year has passed since the environmental disaster that followed the fire in the Kemis chemical waste management plant near Vrhnika. The plant is operational again, but the locals do not want it there. (front page, page 8)

"Generali offers 200 million euro for AS and has big plans with KD Skladi": The paper reports unofficially that the Italian insurance group Generali has offered EUR 200m for insurer Adriatic Slovenica (AS). "What will change in Velenje when Chinese money comes": The most obvious consequence of the arrival of China's Hisense in household appliances maker Gorenje is money for small shareholders, who will get between EUR 8,000 and EUR 15,000. (front page, page 5)
