The city 50 years ago.

This week’s pictures are all from the late 1960s, when colour photography was taking over the postcard industry, trolleybuses were running on the streets (as they did from 1958-71, having replaced trams and to be replaced by buses), and many squares doubled up as car parks, the current pedestrianised system only starting in 2007 and gradually expanding to its present size.
