STA, 2 August 2018 - Last year was a record year for the Slovenian real estate market, with some 36,000 deals being made, according to a report by the Surveying and Mapping Authority. Sales reached EUR 2.3bn in total, matching the record amount from 2007.

Foggo III, who recently paid a visit to Slovenia, has told the STA in an interview that NATO is in an excellent shape despite the disagreements regarding higher defence spending. He also commended the Slovenian Armed Forces for their contribution to international operations or missions.

STA, 2 August 2018 - A Swiss woman was fined nearly EUR 2,000 for leaving two dogs in an overheated car in the seaside town of Lucija on Wednesday. The police were called by a waitress serving the woman, who had left the car in the sun in front of the bar as temperatures were inching into the upper 30s at about 14:00.
STA, 2 August 2018 - The French-owned financial company SKB Group started the year on a positive note, generating EUR 24.4m in net profit in the first six months of the year, which is 9.3% more than in the same period of 2017. Net revenue of the banking group was up 3.2% to EUR 55.7m.
