Fun for all the family in Radovljica this weekend.

April 20, 2018

If you haven’t decided what to do over the weekend yet, there is a once-in-a-year opportunity to take a ride on a steam train to the chocolate festival in Radovljica on Sunday.

Radovljica chocolate festival lasts from Friday, April 20 to Sunday, April 22 and will include many workshops and other chocolate tasting events, including the one set up by Hiša eksperimentov (House of experiments), where you will learn how to make your own chocolate bar from scratch.

You can get to Radovljica in many different ways, the most exciting one is by steam train, which is going to be pulled out of a museum for one ride to Radovljica only, on Sunday April 22.

The train will take off from Ljubljana at 10:40 and will reach Radovljica at 12:10. For all the stops it will make see Slovenian Railways website.

The train will return to Ljubljana from Radovljica at 15:48 (and reach Ljubljana at 17:12) via the same route. This will give you enough time to join a couple of workshops and stuff yourself full with chocolate.

Return tickets are sold at the following prices: 18 EUR for adults, 9 EUR for children between 3 and 12 and free of charge for those under the age of three.
