Janja Garnbret, the 19-year old from Kranj who in the previous IFSC World Cup meeting in Innsbruck became the Combined World Champion, had to settle for silver in the lead event on Sunday in front of a home crowd, with South Korea’s Jain Kim taking gold, and Austria’s Hanna Schubert the bronze.
Despite this disappointing result for the climber widely seen as the best on the circuit, Garnbret remains at the top of the overall rankings and, with two more events left is the season, is still on track to in win her fourth world cup.
