We were looking through some candidates for this week’s property when this one caught our eye, mainly due to the inclusion of a vineyard and orchard, as well as the wooden interiors. But what really sealed the deal was the price, which we thought was much higher than this. (Although please note we’re not a real estate agent or property assessor, and your guess may be much more accurate, with the answer at the bottom of the page.)
This small estate is located in Fokovci in the heart of the Goričko Regional Park. The nearest city is Murska Sobota, 13 km away, and the place isn’t far from a spa resort or 18-hole golf course. It’s also just 65 km from Slovenia’s second largest city, Maribor, where there’s skiing in the winter, as well as 130 km from Graz and 189 km from Ljubljana.
The property was original built around 1895 as the main farmstead for the village, and offers a high level of privacy with spectacular views of the Prekmurje hills, as well as your own mature orchard and vineyard, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy dramatic sunsets and clear, starry nights.

There are around 3.3 acres. There is a very manageable six rows of vines, and a large orchard producing some wonderful tasting apples. A large field and numerous other fruit trees and a large flat garden area by the house with a terrace and pergola, as well as a vegetable garden.
The property is 10 minutes from the Terme 3000 Moravske Toplice Spa, while the village has a grocery shop, small garden centre, and school. The home is also just a minute from one of Prekmurje's best restaurants
