Macedonia referendum
"Yellow light for name change": The referendum on changing Macedonia's name will be declared invalid by the national electoral commission because the turnout was below 50%, but the government will declare the vote legitimate. (front page, page 4)

Catalonia
"Stuck in the blind alley": A year after the Catalonia independence referendum, Madrid and Barcelona persist apart. (front page, page 6)

Italy
"Fear of even deeper crisis in Italy": Italy will post the lowest rate of economic growth in the EU this year and the next, unemployment is high and the country's debt has been described as explosive by European Commissioner Pierre Moscovici. All this and the government's risky measure are making Brussels and the financial markets jittery. (front page, page 3)

UCI Road World Championships
"Roglič finds comfort in Valverde's victory": Spain's Alejandro Valverde won the men's race at the Road World Championships to become the second oldest champion in history. It was a comfort to Slovenia's Primož Roglič, who fell 61 kilometres ahead of the finish line. (front page, page 9)

Karavanke motorway tunnel
"Karavanke tunnel: Why are Austrians digging, while Slovenia is still amid tendering": Slovenia and Austria have launched the process to select the main contractor for the second tube of the Karavanke motorway tunnel at the same time, but while the Austrians are already digging into the mountain, clerks in Slovenia are digging into tendering documents. (front page, pages 2, 3)

Macedonia referendum
"Macedonia name change vote fails": A majority of the voters who cast their ballots in the Macedonia referendum yesterday supported the agreement to change the country's name change, but the turnout was too low for the vote to be valid. (front page, page 8)

Healthcare costs
"Prices of hospital supplies up and down": The joint database of purchase prices paid by hospitals for medications and other supplies has not met the high expectations. Even when hospital managers resort to the database in negotiations with the suppliers, the effect on the taxpayer's total expense is minimal. (front page, pages 2, 3)

Real estate
"Who has bought hotel part of Šumi project?": The hotel part of the Šumi development project in the centre of Ljubljana has been acquired by a company which brings together four entrepreneurs, including two from the crypto world and one of Slovenia's first start-ups. (front page, page 4)
